Peace Fleece Scarves

I made a couple of scarves out of the lovely Peace Fleece that Sherril gave me last month. I saved enough to trim mittens too. I haven't done a lot of knitting the past two days because I'm trying to sort and purge. I did list a few more yarn lots on Ebay and once I shampoo up some spots off the living room carpet then I'll start sorting quilting fabric.

I've also put all of my unfinished projects into a basket next to the sofa so that they will be more accessible.

My Grandma Helen was moved into a physical rehabilitation center in Montesano. She doesn't want to be there, but until her diabetes is under control and she regains some strength it really is for the best. Grandpa Porgy spends everyday with her. I wish we lived closer so I could spend more time with them.

Well, I really do need to start working on those spots. I can't even blame the kids because I'm the one who tracked in the dirt!

Knitted Zombies, Rescued Turkeys, etc.

I was blog surfing and I found a person in the UK who specializes in knitting zombies. She has an entire collection dedicated to "Night of The Living Dead." This just goes to show that creativity and inspiration know no bounds!

In addition to fiber fiends, I also stumbled across a website dedicated to saving the lives of turkeys. Now, G.W. no longer holds a monopoly on pardoning poultry, we can all get into the act... or not. But it is amazing what one can find on the internet!

Another link is to a WIRE knitted bracelet that somebody created. It is very cool!

PUBLIC NOTICE

ALL FELT-TIPPED MARKERS ARE OFF LIMITS IN THE PRESSON HOUSEHOLD. ANY MARKERS FOUND WILL BE CONFISCATED AND THE PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR BRINGING THEM IN WILL BE SEVERELY PUNISHED.

Gals only weekend.

Brian was away this weekend for National
Guard Training so us girls
had a lazy, laid-back kind
of weekend. I managed to
whip out a couple more felted purses
and I made a felted hat too (the hat
will be paired with a purse for my
Mom's Christmas present... so act
surprized Mom). Amber proudly
modeled it in the before, during
and after stages of felting. Another
washing would render it unwearable
for all but my cats. Now, if only my
stupid sewing machine would stop
acting up then all would be right
with the universe.
