Ouch!

Yesterday we picked up our "punkins" for the massacre.

Tops were removed.

Disembowlment commenced.

The carnage...

yielded ghoulish fiends.

And all was well until A3 did a swan dive off of the loveseat in the family room and landed mouth first on the hearth edge. Her lip split open and two of her teeth came through the side of her lower face. This warranted a trip to Portland to the urgent care clinic. 3 hours later we left with exhausted girls and B had a raging headache. This morning A3 stayed home from school. She can't talk or eat solids because of a rather large stitch in the corner of her mouth. The medical people were nice and they gave her a witch, now named Daisy, for being so brave. Daisy's nose came off during the visit and one of the medical technicians stitched it back on. Today we will rest.

Poor A3!!! Big hugs and gentle kisses for her! Sounds like a good reason to have an all ice cream and milk shake diet. ;-D
About pumpkins - How fun! We decided this year we could get the permanent solar powered jack-o-lanterns this year since Beth and Caitlin are 11 and 9. Don't miss the mess but I'm kinda missing the roasted pumpkin seeds, though. yummy

Poor wee one and poor Mom and Dad. Nerve wracking, exhausting and time consuming. Hearth and furnitur= nasty combination. Love her witch Daisy. Hope you had an otherwise good weekend. Your jack o'lanterns are works of art. Y'all be careful now, ya hear?

awe....poor baby! Ouch!!! Give her some get well hugs from us, and one VERY gentle kiss to make it all better.

Hopefully that came with a lesson learned and the swan dives will only be in the swimming pool from now on

Ouch! I hope she's feeling better soon - I wouldn't have wanted to be the kid who couldn't eat solids on Halloween.

That stinks! Is the injury going to interfere with trick or treating? (I missed mine in second grade because of stupid chicken pox.)

The excitement never ends, does it? Poor thing.
