I'M HAVING A CONTEST!
Because I've been so fortunate recently to have won several contests at other bloggers' sites I've decided to hold one too. As a result I'll be holding a contest this week and two prizes will be awarded! Each lucky winner will receive brand new sock yarn from Blue Moon Fiber Arts.
One prize will be chosen via a drawing containing the names of all who participate. The second prize will also be from a drawing taken from anybody who correctly translates Albus Dumbledore's favorite saying, "Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus."
We're reading the Harry Potter series again at our house, hence the question. A1 (oldest daughter) wanted me to pull a Snape and demand to know where one would look to find a *bezoar. However, since few of us in the muggle knitting community study potions (other than for yarn dyeing) that seemed highly unfair.
Email entries and answers to" hpresson at comcast dot net" by 12:00pm on Friday, April 21. And please spread the word to your knitting buddies!
*Yes, I originally spelled it wrong. And there are quite a few of you who know that it is a stone from a goat's stomach. No squibs in this lot! I think some Bertie Bott's Every flavor Beans need to be added to the winnings.

A contest. What fun. I have absolutely no idea what the phrase means. I need to go look it up. Cool idea.
Cool - dig out those Latin primers.
What a fun contest. I'll e-mail my entry now!!
I'm probably your only reader who did Latin at High School for five years! I failed it miserably then and I still haven't got a clue now, but I'll have a go, cheers Gillian
k - I just sent you my answer ;o)
I have the answer, never to tell, but I'm just too tickled pink to tell it. LOL Boy I'm feeling sleepy, the day keeps drag'n on...secret code...just in it for the fun, all the magic, not the prize. My prize is talking knitshop with ya.

Geez I read all the books, but haven't got a clue without looking it up and no time to go play in the bookshelf. :o( Great idea though!!
Good old high-church choir Latin. It does come in handy sometimes.
Ok, I couldn't resist. Have sent you my entry. :o)
I entered the contest too.
Thanks for visiting my blog & my flock of HP Finches. I'm hoping to get another redhead someday so I will have a "Ron" in the flock since he is my fav HP character.
Found your blog via Stephanie's comments. E-mailing you my answer.
