Kool-Aid dyed Wookie

My Mom always said that if I couldn't say anything nice then I should keep my mouth shut until I got home and then tell her what I was going to say. Well, I just have to blurt out that this is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen knitted. And what's amazing to me is that people are bidding on it! Not that I think that I'm miss Suzy Knitting Queen, but I would have frogged this thing long before the pants portion was added. And I certainly wouldn't have had the nuffies to stick it out on ebay with my butt and thighs in it!

First off...you always find the nifty things to look at out there on the WWW. Ahhh, who in the h#$* would pay $410 for a "Cat Suit" or the Wookie thing? Sorry, mohair is warm...if not kid mohair, it's gonna be itchy...in all areas of the body. Yikes. Getting the creepy-crawlies just thinking about it.

Thanks for sharing the good, the bad and the "scary". :)

I am totally speechless. OMG!!!! If I had an extra $400+ laying around, bidding on that is the LAST thing I'd do with it! Thanks for the laugh.

Is there a secret club that meets in ugly monair clothes? I'm going to be really wary now of talking to any strangers (or friends) dressed in mohair. Specially if they have a Derbyshire accent.

Ferg, I think the people buying these suits may have Muppet/Sesame Street fetishes.

I've always been a bit naive. It would never have occurred o me that someone could develop a fetish about muppets. Thanks Heide, I just scrolled down and read more and enjoyed it. Hope the lacy socks go well. I love doing lace too. It impresses people sooo much. cheers Gillian from Oz

omg...I think I just need glasses...it looks like Elmo had an allergic reaction to Mohair...lol
but, as already written...People will pay/buy the stupidest thing!!
I hope it falls apart at the perverbial seams...What a waste of hard earned $$. Even those in the midwest (most) don't dress that goofy!

The Great Muppet Fetish...interesting. I saw an episode of one of those twelve crime shows that are on every week where there was a group of people that dressed up as giant furry animals...I think this fetish REALLY exists. We've totally insulted Chewbacca here. :-)

I'm going to take this one step further since it's late and I'm still awake. Check this out:

I think we should stop here on fetishes. Fun is one thing, fetishes are obviously another,AND, I'm sorry I started you on the muppet bit.
Change of subject....
If you want to know about rag rugging, I'm going to post soon. With pictures if I can work out how. Cheers Heide, Gillian in Oz. ps must get to which bit of Oz you've been to soon.

I wouldn't wear that thing if I were the richest woman in Derbyshire! I feel much better about my butt, though.
Love, Karen
