Are Willie Warmers for real?
I keep reading about Willie Warmers and there are tons of patterns out there for these. The link is to one that someone in the cyber fiber world has just completed. So, I have to ask, are these a joke or do people really use them? Not having the necessary parts to wear a Willie Warmer I can only guess that they would be itchy and uncomfortable. Maybe I'll stick to socks!

Hehehe - that's hilarious. I can't quite see how it would work somehow - I mean, when it's cold - well, you know. What's the point? Nothing there to warm?!

I would have to say that I agree with Heide...they look like they would be itchy, but I can't even wear a cashmere sweater so maybe I'm not the best judge of this product. I hesitate to admit this, but I actually know someone that makes them...she's the friend of a friend and not a direct friend of mine. We were out to dinner with other couples and she whipped one out (a warmer that is) at the table...red, white, and blue because her boyfriend is a Marine. Needless to say, we didn't want any more details and the people at the table next to us were shocked. Heide, feel free to edit my story if not appropriate here... :-)
